If yourdocument has fine print, you might find that scanning at 400 dpi produces better results. For best results use a clean original with text that is 10 to 14 points in size. OCR requires images to be scanned at 150 to 600 dpi. Many factors can influence the accuracy of the converted text such as original document quality, font size, and scan resolution. The OCR process analyzes the shapes on an image and attempts to translate them into editable text. You can use the OCR software from within PaperPort, ControlCenter3, or using the Scan key on the Brother machine.
